The C-Class is the Mercedes-Benz entry luxury sedan which received both exterior and interior makeovers for 2005, including new body styling, headlights, taillights, grille, wheels, dashboard, instrument cluster, steering wheel, and seats.
The C55 AMG joined the C-Class line for 2005, replacing the C32 AMG. The C-Class was first introduced in 1993 as a 1994 model to replace the 190 sedan. A C-Class Coupe was introduced for 2002 and continued through the 2005 model year.
The 2007 Mercedes-Benz C-Class adds new standard equipment to its C280 and C350 Luxury trims including new seven-spoke 16-inch alloy wheels, front power seats, and adjustable steering column that has a memory feature for three different drivers. The C230 and C350 Sport can be identified by new six-spoke 17-inch wheels, a discreet AMG rear decklid spoiler and dual AMG sport exhaust pipes.
For the interior, Sport models now feature black Birdseye maple instead of the previous aluminum trim. The C230 Sport Sedan is now E85 capable, in which a special inline fuel sensor determines the type of fuel it is running on, and the electronic engine management system adjusts automatically.
