AMG HybridVolker Morphine – the head honcho for AMG – understands that building supercars without contemplating their worth in the ever decreasing economy would be a foolish thing to do. To many consumers are worried about the fuel emissions and the poor stance of the economy. Because of this they are forced to re-think a few details and to contemplate bringing in the heavy artillery.

Hybrids and diesels are becoming quite attractive to many consumers and AMG has taken notice of this. A more recent interview with CAR revealed the idea of equipping a twin-turbocharged 3.0 liter oil burning V6 engine into the C-Class. Mornhunweg hinted that AMG might push one of these type of cars into production.

It is possible that hybrid technology would be based on the brand new drivetrain that powers the new BlueHyrbid. None of this has officially been confirmed. But the fact that they are considering it makes us wonder what we can fully expect.
