For a few weeks now we have heard that Mercedes and Aston Martin would be working with each other to create a new kind of car. Something that would surprise us and take the auto world by storm. This week we have received news that they have officially partnered up.
Mercedes and Aston Martin have partnered together to create cars that will be given brand new technology and a whole new platform that both of their designs have created. Because of this new partnership we won’t be surprised to see Mercedes buying a stake in Aston Martin.
Mercedes is making up for the poor reaction that was given to the SLR McLaren. Mercedes was hoping to attract consumers with the SLR – but they forgot a key ingredient that every Mercedes-Benz owner looks for – power. The design of the car was truly impressive – but without the right amount of power it doesn’t make it a true Mercedes. Not to mention consumer aren’t willing to pay a hefty amount for something that only looks good.
Mercedes new AMG model line has the power that we look for in a car and has the design of a luxury car that we have come to expect from them. It isn’t too often that we are disappointed with what they have come up with and this is no different.
You can’t blame them if they brag a little and decide to spread the word through a clever awareness campaign that will show consumers the top performance models that can be found all across the U.S. The campaign is using great advertising, the establishment of AMG Performance Centers, and a road show demonstration. It will begin with only seven dealers from Florida, New York, and California – but if everything goes according to plan they will have incorporated its top 30 dealers by the end of the year.
