Mercedes-Benz 'C Class'




2008 C63 AMGThe 2007 L.A. Auto Show was the perfect place and time for Mercedes-Benz to introduce their new C63 AMG to the fans in the United States. The C63 AMG was shown off in a pearl white paint job high on a platform and was personally introduced by the head of AMG – Affalterbach.

A beautiful car being given a great introduction is something that we couldn’t miss out on. Showing off the 451hp, 6.3L, V8 powered Mercedes was one of the highlights of the show.

2008 Mercedes C300 SportThe 2008 Mercedes C300 Sport is one of the best models that we have seen from them so far. It has been given several technical upgrade to the interior – which is something that we don’t see very often in a C-Class. The CL550 isn’t looking to get upgraded like this for at least two more years.

Mercedes-Benz seriously updated its C-class for 2008 and now offers the C300 Sport, the C300 Luxury, and the C350 Sport, all in sedan form. For stylistic differentiation, the Sport model gets a three-bar grille with a big Mercedes-Benz badge in the middle, while the Luxury trim gets the badge as a hood ornament.

2008 C-350 SportThe Mercedes C-class has long labored in the shadow of BMW’s 3-series, a wistful also-ran in the entry luxury-sports-sedan sweepstakes. To be fair, corporate wistfulness has been tempered by frequent bank deposits. Over the course of its long history, Mercedes is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its entry-level sedan this year, the company has produced and sold some six million of them.
