Every year we see new vehicle ideas and ones that may not be so good. As always we can expect great things when it comes to Mercedes, especially for the 2009 model year, which is planning to be a great year. Mercedes will be releasing a premium ’soft-roader’ and a very unique one at that. The 2009 GLK will be shown to the public in the middle of next year. We estimate that this brand new model will cost around €35,000.
Mercedes-Benz 'G and GL Class' - Page 2
The Mercedes G-Class is one of the most enduring models from Mercedes-Benz. It was first introduced in 1979, the G hardly looks different than the model that debuted 28 years ago. It has been given many enhancements, and Mercedes has just announced another slew of updates that will keep this original SUV relatively “fresh” for even longer.
The exterior has been left predominately untouched except for new taillights sporting an “LED look”. The interior, however, has been warmed over with a new instrument cluster, steering wheel, modified center stack and redesigned switches. Some additional optiions have also been added to eek out a few more bucks from the big stars that buy these behemoths.
If you’re not getting better at what you’re doing every day, you’re not going to be around for long. That’s the philosophy that underpins the development and production of the all-new 2007 Mercedes-Benz GL450, introduced to the world’s motoring press in northern California. The just-off-the-assembly-line GL-Class, this German automaker’s third all-new or upgraded entrant into the light truck segment in the past 12 months, took us 500 miles on a variety of rain-soaked roads and mud-caked trails.
