Mercedes-Benz 'M Class'

Mercedes ML450Daimler is thinking about delaying and maybe even canceling the launch for the new hybrid SUV because of a legal battle with Cobasys LLC. Cobasys provides battery packs for the car and filed a lawsuit against Daimler because of the new SUV.

Cobasys, which has ties to Chevron Corp., is refusing to fulfil its commitment to produce the battery pack, a local newspaper said, citing the lawsuit. Mercedes alleges that the owners of Cobasys have been seeking to sell the company, without telling Mercedes about it, it said.

Mercedes Hybrid S400Hybrid vehicles are becoming more and more popular as time goes by. Even though they are still expensive for the lower class of people who don’t make more than $30,000 a year. M-ClassMercedes-Benz is a well known company and has been for some time now. That is why in 1997 Mercedes knew it was time to spread their wings and build a plant in the United States. At the new plant in Alabama they decided to begin a brand new line. Thus was born the M-Class.

The new model was a major milestone in the Mercedes-Benz product drive. The highly comfortable M-Class, featuring a chassis with a separate box-section frame, was designed for both road and off-road operation. Auxiliary frames for the front and rear wheel suspension and ten rubber mounts dampened the transfer of road bumps and noise to the bodywork. Independent wheel suspension all round was a special feature of this chassis unique in this vehicle category.
