Mercedes-Benz 'R Class' - Page 2

R350Mercedes-Benz is debuting its all-new R-Class luxury vehicle at the New York Auto Show, March 25-April 2, 2005 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. An entirely new type of Mercedes-Benz, the new R-Class combines the sure-footedness of a four-wheel-drive sport utility vehicle, the versatility of a luxury wagon and the performance of a fine sports sedan. When the R-Class goes on sale later this year, its suggested retail price will begin under $50,000.

2007 M-ClassAfter being given a makeover in 2006, the 2007 M-Class adds the ML320 CDI diesel and high-performance ML63 AMG to the line. The diesel-powered ML320 CDI brilliantly adds the 215-horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque and can travel over 600 miles at highway speeds on one tank of fuel according to Mercedes.

The ML63 AMG sports an athletic design with bolder front and rear aprons, an AMG front grille, flared fenders, AMG side skirts, tinted taillights, and two sets of chromed twin exhaust pipes.

2007 R-ClassThe R-Class is what Mercedes-Benz likes to call a “sports tourer.” It’s lower and more polished than an SUV or minivan but larger and more comfortable than a wagon. It handles more like a vehicle than an SUV, thanks to its car-like construction.

The R-Class is designed to appeal to affluent buyers who want the convenience of an SUV or minivan but don’t want to sacrifice style or good driving dynamics.
