Mercedes McLaren SLR Stirling MossDozens of photos on the new variant on the McLaren SLR speedster have been caught and spread to auto enthusiasts everywhere. Now we are getting the chance to see the final product and we have to admit that it is better than what we hoped for.

The Dutch magazine AutoVisie have gotten a hold of a few renderings for us. They also gave us what could be the new name for this supercar – the Stirling Moss. We may not be too crazy about the name – but just take one look at this beauty and we will all fall in love with it.

This care has been modeled after the Mercedes-Benz racer in which one of the most legendary British racecars won his first F1 Grand Prix and the 1955 Mille Miglia in record time. He did all of this in a Mercedes 300 SLR. Now the new rendition will bear his name and be an almost identical replica.

It will be powered by a supercharged V8 engine that should allow it to produce 650 horsepower with a top speed of 205 mph. Mercedes will be producing 75 models by June of 2009.
