There are some days that we have to make extremely long trips and no matter how many energy drinks we guzzle down – looking at the monotonous road always makes us want to shut our eyes and sleep. It is a dangerous problem that many people find themselves in – but it seems that Mercedes may have found a way to prevent accidents when this happens.
Mercedes Benz has created the Attention Assist System – which warns drivers when they are getting tired and drowsy at the wheel. Mercedes engineers have placed tiny sensors around the exterior and the interior of the vehicle that will detect any sign of trouble.
Things are looking good for Mercedes-Benz in every place but Canada. Sales are down and Mercedes is afraid of losing some valuable customers. Don’t worry though they always have a plan. They will be cutting down their prices on certain models during the holiday season by creating a Manufacturer’s Dealer Direct Incentives (MDDI).
Effective now, reductions of up to $10,000 are available across the model range. The CLS 550 offers up a $6,000 discount, while an S450 4Matic offers an $8,000 incentive. Customers after the legendary Mercedes Benz SL-Class models will benefit from a $10,000 incentive. In some circles, the SL makes a fantastic Christmas present.
Mercedes has checked out the competition and is believes that the only way to step up their game is to create a car that could replace the old models that we have grown bored of seeing. We were able to get some spy shots of the new CLC sport coupe out on the streets during a test run.
Although the new CLC Sport coupe will mimic the design of the brand-new C-class sedan, the upcoming coupe is actually built around the mechanics of the existing model – and hence based on the chassis of the outgoing C class. The basic concept of the car – short coupe with huge tailgate – will remain unchanged, too.
