2008 Mercedes C300 SportThe 2008 Mercedes C300 Sport is one of the best models that we have seen from them so far. It has been given several technical upgrade to the interior – which is something that we don’t see very often in a C-Class. The CL550 isn’t looking to get upgraded like this for at least two more years.

Mercedes-Benz seriously updated its C-class for 2008 and now offers the C300 Sport, the C300 Luxury, and the C350 Sport, all in sedan form. For stylistic differentiation, the Sport model gets a three-bar grille with a big Mercedes-Benz badge in the middle, while the Luxury trim gets the badge as a hood ornament.

Mercedes Old LogoNot only has Mercedes changed its vehicles to be better than they used to be, but they have also decided that changing their brand identity would match the newer look that they are trying to convey. The new design was created using the history behind Mercedes and shows to all consumers that they are dedicated to creating sharper and more focused vehicles.

The new, standardised brand identity will be introduced in all corporate units – from Passenger Cars to Commercial Vehicles – and in all the world’s markets from November 1, 2007. The central theme of the new identity is the motto “The Star always shines from above”. With the launch of the C-Class Estate the new brand design will be applied to a product campaing for the first time in November.

Mercedes Bluetec Diesel EngineWe have all been impressed with Mercedes Bluetec diesel engines, which have been available to everyone in the U.S. for almost a year. They have made such an impact on Mercedes accounting for 20% of their sales. By the end of the year Europe will get their chance to be impressed as it makes it way to its shores for the first time in the form of the E-Class.
