The 2007 L.A. Auto Show was the perfect place and time for Mercedes-Benz to introduce their new C63 AMG to the fans in the United States. The C63 AMG was shown off in a pearl white paint job high on a platform and was personally introduced by the head of AMG – Affalterbach.
A beautiful car being given a great introduction is something that we couldn’t miss out on. Showing off the 451hp, 6.3L, V8 powered Mercedes was one of the highlights of the show.
The brand new Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG is another dream car that has joined the AMG model range. The powerful AMG 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine familiar from the S65 AMG and SL65 AMG twelve-cylinder models delivers a completely impressive driving experience in the exclusive high-performance coupe. Its maximum output of 612 bhp and maximum torque of 738 lb-ft are reflected in its outstanding performance data: the CL65 AMG attains 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and reaches the 124-mph mark in 13.3 seconds. Its maximum speed is 155 mph.
Finally we can look forward to a special AMG performance package, which will shortly be available ex factory for the sporty 378 kW/514 hp E 63 AMG Saloon. It is made up of various technical components which significantly enhance the handling dynamics, the motorsport potential and the individuality of this model. The performance package was developed at the AMG performance studio in Affalterbach and the vehicles are built at the DaimlerChrysler production plant in Sindelfingen.
